QUEEN TRAP is an project and audiovisual art piece by chess conceptual artist JUGA,

produced in collaboration with FIDE WOM (the International Chess Federation Women's Commission), featuring nearly 200 women olympic players, leaders and key figures from the global chess ecosystem from 60 countries.

Filmed at the Hungarian Museum of Fine Arts during the Chess Olympiad in Budapest (September 2024),

Queen Trap honors chess as a powerful force for social transformation, personal development, female empowerment and collaboration.

QUEEN TRAP es un proyecto épico e inspirador, además de una obra audiovisual, del artista conceptual de ajedrez JUGA, en colaboración con la FIDE WOM

(Comisión Femenina de la Federación Internacional de Ajedrez), que presenta a casi 200 jugadoras olímpicas, líderes y figuras clave del ecosistema ajedrecístico global de 60 países.

Filmada en el Museo Húngaro de Bellas Artes durante la Olimpiada de Ajedrez de Budapest

QUEEN TRAP was presented as an Avant-Première
at Women Economic Forum Chile 2025,
the most relevant international event
on women and the economy.

Juga performed Live while Javiera Gómez,
Chile´s best female chess player, played a blitz chess game against Alejandra Díaz,
President of Chilean Chess Federation.

Juga was awarded by WEF Chile
the Public Life and Art Prize,
and gave her conference on
Chess for Creative Strategy and Empowerment.
